What We Believe

Tenets of our Faith

Whereas we, being an incorporate body of people of like precious faith: 

Believe that there is only one GOD the Creator of all things. Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Mark 12:29, John 1:1, 1 John 5:7 

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life through His death and the power of His resurrection. Romans 6:23, 1 Timothy 2:5 

Believe in the Holy Spirit and His active work in the life of believers in Jesus Christ. John 14:26, 2 Timothy 1:14, 2 Peter 1:21

Believe the Bible to be God’s infallible word and the revelation of His will to man and accept it as our rule for faith and conduct.  2 Timothy 3: 16-17 , 2 Peter 1:21

Believe Christian fellowship, mutual edification and evangelical effort, in the form of local churches, is God’s ordained order for His people. Ezekiel 3:17-19, Matthew 5:15-16, 1 John 1:3

Believe each church is to assemble together for worship, fellowship, counsel, and instruction in the Word of God, and the work of the ministry. Hebrews 10:25, Acts 2:42

Believe that the original Sabbath has never been changed from seventh day of the week by divine authority and therefore all Christians are under obligation to keep it holy. Exodus 20:8-11, Exodus 31:16, Isaiah 58:13-14, Mark 2:27, Mark 3:4, Acts 18:4, Colossians 2:16 

Believe each church should exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the offices provided for in the New Testament to obtain the Christian goal, “Be ye therefore perfect even as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Romans 12:6-8, Ephesians 4:11-16, 2 Timothy 1:6-7, 1 Peter 4:10-11

Believe God has called and anointed us to emphasize the fullness of the Gospel through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:30, 1 Peter 5:10 

Believe in discarding and avoiding potentially harmful and unhealthful practices, such as the use of illicit drugs, intoxications, tobacco, unclean meats, etc. Leviticus 3:17, Leviticus 7:26-27, Deuteronomy 14:3-20, Proverbs 23:29-32, Isaiah 66:15-17, 1 Corinthians 3:16-23

Therefore, we have accepted and adopted the above Statement of Fundamental Truths and Constitution. We shall seek, by the grace of God, to be governed by the Constitution as set forth, and will also seek to teach and propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ and the doctrines contained in the Statement of Fundamental Truths.
